International Baccalaureate
North Atlanta Cluster's Signature Program
In compliance with APS's Charter System Agreement, the North Atlanta Cluster has chosen International Baccalaureate (IB) as its Signature Program. IB starts in elementary school and goes through the end of 10th grade. Although not required, when students enter 11th grade they are encouraged to continue pursuing IB studies through either the Diploma Program, or the Career Program.
From www.ibo.org:
"The IB programmes focus on fostering critical thinking and building problem-solving skills, while encouraging diversity, international mindedness, curiosity, and a healthy appetite for learning and excellence.
An IB education provides students distinct advantages as they enter a world where asking the right questions is as important as discovering answers. For over 50 years, our global community of world class educators and coordinators engage with more than 1.95 million students in over 5,500 schools across 159 countries."
On March 15, 2023, NAPPS hosted an event at Bolton Academy for all cluster parents about the IB program. Links to documents discussed at the event can be found HERE.
